Cloverdale Community Mural

In late 2023, I was reached out by La Famila Sana to create a community mural for the small town of Cloverdale, CA. By early 2024, along with the help of Kimzin Creative, we went out to Cloverdale High School and organized 3 workshops where we asked the students what they want for the future of Cloverdale. I presented the idea of creating a postcard-style mural with the name “CLOVERDALE” and have each letter represent something they like about their town.

The final design, was a mural with the words “Saludos from Cloverdale” to represent the growing Latino population. The name was divided into 4 sections: “CLO” represents Physical and Mental Health, “OV” represents Agriculture, “ER” represents Housing and Transportation, and “DALE” represents Entertainment and Culture. The end result was a beautiful and colorful mural where community members had the opportunity to come together and help paint.
